Nashville FFA Officers And Greenhands Attend Conferences At SIU

The Nashville FFA Chapter officers and greenhands attended the District V Chapter Officer Leadership Training held at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.

The event was hosted by Collegiate FFA, a student organization at SIU.

Greenhands and officers in attendance were, FROM LEFT, FRONT ROW, Grant Pedtke, Kourtney Barbee, Becky Clark, Tyson Huge, Brayden Bauza, Brianna Schorfheide, Aaron Stanowski and Logan Boester. MIDDLE ROW, Conner Sennholtz, Conner Wolters, Cade Hoffman, Billy Moon, Bryce Middleton, Jimmy Gibson, Allison Melton and Leslie Parrish. BACK ROW, Callie McClay, Holli Fullerton, Riley Bergmann, Austin Schorfheide, Carli Hoffman, Emily Stern, Alex Johannes and Chloe Pelka.

Opening ceremonies were conducted by the Collegiate FFA Officers followed by FFA members enjoying an opening address given by the Collegiate FFA President.

The rest of the evening included workshops where they learned about communications and how they can bring those skills back to their chapter.

They also participated in leadership activities which they did in a group with other officers and greenhands from other FFA chapters in District V.

The evening concluded with closing ceremonies. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premiere leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
