Nashville Christian Church had a rip-roaring good time this week, July 17-21, when 37 students and 30 leaders came together to celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ. St. Ann/TSJ Softball (5th through 8th grades), and St. Ann/TSJ baseball (6th through 8th grade) will begin practice on August 1. Practice will start at 5:30 at the park. The Nashville Blue Racer Swim Team has competed in three more meets this season. They have versed Carlyle two times and Sparta a second time. The Blue Racers had their first and only losses against the Carlyle team. The first meet the score was Carlyle 412 and Nashville 266. The swimmers had a week off
The Nashville Jr. Golf Tournament was held on Thursday July 13 at Nashville Muncipal Golf Course. Eight different age groups competed in the tournament. The boys and girls in the 16-18 age group and the 14-15 age group each played 18 holes while competitors in the 12-13 age group and the 10-11 age group each

In the boys 16-18 age group, Aven Kimmell of Flora took home the win with a 75, 13 strokes ahead of Jacob Maschhoff who finished second in the age group with an 88.
The 2017 Washington County Fair was the first time that a sand volleyball tournament has been held. After rounds on Friday and Saturday, the winning team was Team Peck, ABOVE, including, FROM LEFT, BACK ROW, Lee Peck, Larry Shubert and Nick Ramsey, FRONT ROW, Jamie Peck, Tasha Gibbs and Brooke Ramsey.
The track at the fairgrounds was a busy place this past week as two tractor pulls and two demolition derbies took place this past week. Tuesday July 11 was the ITPA Tractor Pull.
