The Nashville Hornets are Regional Champions. The Hornets defeated the Hilltoppers of Hillsboro 60-51 to win the IHSA Class 2A Staunton Regional Championship. The Hornets had a lot of fan support as “The Nest” made the trip up north to cheer the Hornets to victory. Nashville will now play Pinckneyville in the IHSA Class 2A

Former NCHS Principal and former Hornets Boys Basketball coach Brad Weathers was honored during halftime of the Hornets final home game of the season against DuQuoin on February 16. Weathers retired from coaching after the 2016-17 season.

St. Ann will host the Knights of Columbus Council 4384 Free Throw Competition, Sunday February 18, in St. Ann’s Gymnasium. The free throw competition is for girls and boys ages 9-14.
