October 2

The Nashville Police Department Responded to the 600 block of W. Walnut St. for an assault.

Officers responded to St. Rt. 127 at Richview Rd. for debris in the roadway.

Police responded to the 100 block of W. Alton St. for a 911 hang-up call.

Officers responded to the 300 block of E. St. Louis St. for a welfare check.

Police responded to the 800 block of S. Broadway St. to take a report of a hit and run that occurred in the Kroger parking lot on September 30. An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Kerri Huge, of Nashville, causing damage. A crash report was completed for the incident.

October 3

Officers responded to the 700 block of E. Holzhauer Dr. for an assault.

Police responded to the 300 block of E. Alton St. for truancy.

Officers responded to the 600 block of W. Goodner St. for a suspicious vehicle.

Police responded to the Washington County ER to take a report of a pedestrian auto accident. Chad Taft, of Nashville, advised that at approximately 3:30 a.m. he was riding his bicycle northbound on St. Rt. 127 just north of E. National Mine Rd. and he was clipped by a semi traveling northbound on St. Rt. 127. Chad stated he flipped over his bike and crashed into the ditch causing scratches to his arms and knees. Chad advised he continued his trip to work and left work early to go to the ER as he was now in pain.

Officers responded to 206 E. Lebanon St. for a report of a battery. Kevin Baudendistel, 57 of Nashville, reported that Joshua Mitchel, 36 of Okawville, had grabbed him by the wrist during an argument causing multiple skin tears, and swelling to his right wrist. Baudendistel did not want to press charges for the battery but wanted Mitchell to leave his property and have him warned to not return or he would press charges for trespass. Mitchell was then escorted off the property and given verbal instructions to not return. Then while the officer was still speaking with Baudendistel, Mitchell returned to the residence. Mitchell was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal trespass to real property and taken to the Washington County Jail.

October 4

Police responded to the 8700 block of County Highway 17 to assist county with a possible burglary in progress.

Officers responded to the 100 block of E. David Dr. for trespassing.

Police responded to the 1100 block of N. Mill St. for a 911 hang-up call..

Officers arrested Juan Thurmond, of Missouri, for driving while license suspended.

October 5

Police responded to the 1100 block of N Mill St. for a theft.

October 6

Officers responded to the 100 block of E. David Dr. for suspicious Activity.

Police assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop with an Ispern alert for a vehicle showing a silver handgun pointing it at a motorist. Police stopped the vehicle, located the gun matching the description. However no complaint was signed and the driver was released after performing checks on him and the weapon.

October 7

Officers responded to the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127 for disorderly conduct.

Police responded to the 400 block of W. Chester St. for a dumpster fire.

Officers responded to the 11600 block of St. Rt. 127 for ministerial alliance.

Police responded to the 300 block of W. St. Louis St. for a theft.

Officers responded to the 400 block of N Mill St. for stolen license plates.

Police responded to the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127 to remove an unwanted subject.

Officers responded to St. Rt. 127 in front of Bonnie Cafe for a three car accident. No injuries were reported. Drivers involved were Raven Clarry of DuQuoin, Mary Krus of Nashville, and Ron Millburn of New Minden. Mary pulled out of Bonnie Cafe turning left, and Raven was traveling northbound, once Raven came over the slight hill crest, Raven could not stop in time before hitting the drivers rear quarter panel of Mary’s van. Raven swerved in attempt to avoid hitting Mary and turned on E. National Mine Rd., and came in contact with the front of Ron’s vehicle that was stopped causing damage to the front.

October 8

Police responded to the area of S. Moore St. at W. High St. for lines down/

Officers responded to St. Rt. 127 at St. Rt. 15 for a motorist assist.

Police responded to the 600 block of N. Mill St. for disorderly conduct.
