Friendly Homemakers Holds Meetings, Celebrates Holidays

Friendly Homemakers Holds Meetings, Celebrates Holidays

On November 2, 2017, the Friendly Homemakers HCE held their meeting at Marilyn Suedmeyer’s home in Hoyleton. Roll call showed 13 present.

Favorite recipes were shared from the HCE International Night about the Phillipines.

Members all brought a gift and played the left-right game.

A decision was made to have a Christmas Party on December 7 at the Okawville Golf Course.

There were 15 people present at the Friendly Homemakers Christmas Party, where secret pals from the year were revealed and new names were drawn for 2018.

The group ate lunch and played some games. There was an exciting time exchanging gifts from our secret pals.

The first meeting of 2018 was hosted by Doris Meier and was held on January 4. There were 12 present.

Roll call was “How Much Food Do You Waste?”

The lesson, given by Norma Tucker was Creating a No-Waste Kitchen.

The next meeting will be held in the Red Room at the Hoyleton Community Center on February 1 at 7 p.m.

The lesson will be given by the Health Department on Sleep Apnea. It will be hosted by Gerri Twenhafel.
