The Okawville Village Board held their regular monthly meeting on the evening of Monday, February 26.
To begin the meeting, the board approved to donate $250 to the Simply the Best program and Okawville High School’s After Prom.
Under Streets and Sidewalks, the board approved to hire Rollie Excavating at a cost not to exceed $9,000 for street and construction at the entrance of Top Ag.
Top Ag will share the the $31,560 cost of the project at 50 percent.
Police and Liquor Chair, Sarah Deterding reported that a new battery was purchased for the 2015 squad car.
Deterding also informed the board that the Village of Okawville has obtained Narcan via the Sheriff’s Department medical supplier at a cost of $75.00 per pack of two.
The Village of Okawville later purchased three packs of Narcan from the drug fund.
The village received $729.38 in fines from the circuit clerk.
The village received $3,720.85 from the video gaming receipts.
