Harold C. Womble, 79, of Centralia, passed away, Friday, March 2, 2018 at his home.
He was born the son of George and Bonnie (Stiles) Womble in Tellico Plains, Tenn. on May 15, 1938. He married Nancy C. Meyer on Jan. 3, 1957 in Centralia. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include his devoted children, son Darrell Womble, wife Rene of Chandler, Texas; three daughters Tanya Drake, husband Vern of Troy, Carla Womble of Cleveland, Tenn., Darla Womble, companion Butch Casper of Pocahontas; three caring sisters, Inez Gibson of Madisonville, Tenn., Barbara Womble of Georgia, and Marilyn Worley of Carrolton, Ga.; six treasured grandchildren Garrett Morris, Justin Morris, Jake Womble, Jessica Womble, Jodi Womble, and Zach Womble, nine great-grandchildren, loving companion Pat Cleary of Centralia, and several devoted brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jared Morris in 1999, and nine siblings.
Mr. Womble was a proud United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korea Conflict era. He was a machinist for National Mines for 19 years and later was a certified machinist for Carbaloy, Inc. for 18 years. He was a member of the Centralia Elks and Moose Lodge and will be remembered as an avid hunter and golfer.
Friends and family are invited to visiting hours 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
Celebration of life services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia with Randy Fark officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
