Carroll R. Sinks, Sr., 81, of Collinsville, born Tuesday, June 30, 1936, in Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, at his residence.
Carroll was the owner of All Mart Store in Nashville. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Collinsville, Collinsville Lodge #712 AF&AM (Past Master), Ainad Shrine Drum Corps, Mississippi Valley Barbershoppers, DeMolay Legion of Honor, and YMCA Indian Guides.
Surviving are his wife, Betty C. Sinks of Collinsville; son, Carroll (Debbie) Sinks, Jr. of O’Fallon; daughter, Belinda (William Winders, Jr.) Sinks of Fairview Heights; brother, Albert Neil Sinks of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren, Michaela Sinks, Sydney Winders, and Emily Winders, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert N. and Pauline, nee Roberts, Sinks; brother, J. Max Sinks; sisters, Marjorie Peterson and Annette Stroker.
A visitation will be held from 4 pm – 8 pm, Friday, April 6, 2018, at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville. Ainad Drum Corp walk-through at 6:50 p.m., followed by Masonic Service at 7 p.m.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018, at First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, with Rev. Scott Carnes officiating. Private interment will be at Jarrett Cemetery in Maynard, Ark.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
