Charles L. “Bud” Setzekorn, 92, of Nashville, formerly Pinckneyville, passed away at 6:57 a.m., Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Friendship Manor in Nashville.
Charles had been a coal miner at Freeman United Coal Mine. He had also worked at the family sawmill. He was of the Catholic faith. Charles was a member of UMW of A. He was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan and enjoyed fishing.
He was born December 13, 1925 at Du Bois, the son of Charles and Rose (Langa) Setzekorn.
He is survived by one niece – Debra Kirchhoefer and husband James of New Athens, one great nephew, two great nieces and several great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters – Nellie Dressler and Amelia Woodside, and one nephew – Daniel Woodside.
Private graveside services will be held at the Chapel Hill Cemetery at Du Bois.
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery at Du Bois.
