Dylane Marie McWilliams, a native of Nashville, and long time resident of Mobile Ala., passed away peacefully on February 21 surrounded by her family.
Dy, as she was known to family and friends, graduated from Nashville High School, and then attended nursing school in Terre Haute, Ind. She worked as a registered nurse for many happy years in Providence Hospital’s labor and delivery unit and later in private practice for Dr. Nick C. Nichols.
Her patients loved her. Her smile and caring personality would make anyone feel better.
She was a long time parishioner of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, having sung in the choir for over 35 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Donald C. McWilliams, her four daughters, Kathy (Fred) Killion, Marcia (Ralph) Amos, Patty (Paul) Sonnier, Donna Willemoes, and her son, Mark (Karen) McWilliams and by her fourteen grandchildren, Kelly, Megan, (Ted Klein), and Will Killion, Libby (Todd LaCour), Byron, Todd and Gil Amos, Patrick and Charles Baldwin, Lane Balzli, Chelsea, Caylee and Brooks Willemoes, Jack McWilliams and four great grandchildren, Mary Kathleen and Lou Klein, and Lila and Margaux LaCour. She is also survived by her very special aunt, who was like her sister, Louise Habbe of Nashville, and many sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded by her parents, Marie and Wayne Richards and her son in law, Pete Willemoes.
