Robert Henry Maschhoff passed away October 12, 2017 at his home in Oro Valley, Ariz.
Bob was born on a farm near Hoyleton on February 17, 1934, the son of Henry and Selma (Lueking) Maschhoff.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife Martha Lentz, who died in 1984 after 28 years of marriage.
In 1988, he married his second wife, Nancy who survives.
He is also survived by five children, Kevin and wife Cindy, Brian and wife Linda, Kathi and husband Paul, Kari, and Kristi and husband Andy; seven grandchildren; one sister Lorraine Haake and husband Marvin; two brothers, Lloyd and wife Lucille, Leroy and wife Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews, also three step children, seven step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren.
Bob attended Trinity Lutheran School in Hoyleton, Centralia High School, Kaskaskia College and Valparaiso University (Electrical Engineering) and graduate studies at University of New Mexico.
He began his engineering career at Argonne National Labs near Chicago and after moving to Albuquerque, N.M., in 1963, worked at Gulton Data Systems until his retirement in 2000.
Bob had many interests and with his family designed and built a home on the Sandia Mountains.
Funeral Services were held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cedar Crest, N.M. (where he was a founding member) on October 28, 2017.
Burial was in Albuquerque Memorial Gardens next to his first wife Martha.
