Ms. Louise Beckman of Nashville departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville, on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 5:25 a.m. She had attained the age of 95 years, six months and nine days.

Louise was born near Cordes on October 4, 1918, the daughter of Fred and Martha (Decker) Beckman. She was baptized at the St. John’s Evangelical Church in Cordes. Her primary years were spent at the Kerr School. Louise was confirmed at the Nashville Evangelical Church in 1933. She received a scholarship to Southern Illinois University but was unable to attend because of the Depression. She acquired secretarial skills through correspondence
