Maurice Lawrence Emil Reuss. 84, of Ashley, born on May 16, 1931 in East St. Louis, passed away Sunday, October, 4, 2015, at Crossroads Community Hospital, Mt. Vernon.

Maurice was a staff sergeant in the Air Force during the Korean War and was employed by Scott Air Force Base and retired as supervisor over base electric in 1985. He enjoyed his grandchildrens’ sporting events, doing scroll saw projects, and serving the Tri-City Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin R. and Emma M. Reuss, and a daughter, Deborah J. Reuss. Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Stephens) Reuss; two sons, Wayne (Edna) Reuss of Imperial, Mo., and Randy (Trudy) Reuss of

    John L. Rolf, Jr., 64, of Du Bois, passed away at 9:33 P.M., Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville.

    Ruth Alice Cripe, 85, of Nashville, formerly of Pleasant Mound, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Young Funeral Home. Burial was at Noffsinger Cemetery.

    Ruth was born on March 22, 1930 in Nashville, to Charles C. “Bud” and Minnie A (Huge) Hampton. She married Robert E. Cripe on September 18, 1951 in Nashville. He died September 9, 2009.
