NCHS Celebrating Homecoming

Posted September 13, 2012 at 3:54 pm

This week is Homecoming for Nashville Community High School and all NCHS alumni.

The students have been celebrating by dressing up in unique ways this week. Monday was Traitor Day. Tuesday was Hat and T-shirt Signing Day. Wednesday is Superhero Day. Thursday is Color Day, when seniors wear black, juniors wear yellow, sophomores wear red, freshmen wear white and faculty and staff wear blue. Friday, as always, is spirit day.

Students have voted for the Homecoming attendants and the Homecoming queen. The freshmen class chose Mariel Elliott to be the attendant, sophomore attendant is Sydney Bochantin and the junior attendant is Lexi Wilder. The senior Homecoming queen candidates are Stormi Jolliff, Lexi Patton, Hannah Seeger, Kelsey Sachtleben, and Callie Schwartzkopf.

The traditional Homecoming queen coronation will take place during halftime at Friday’s football game against the Sparta Bulldogs. Also on Friday is the Homecoming parade beginning at 2 p.m. Concluding the week’s activities is a semi-formal dance on Saturday night from 8 – 11 p.m. in the high school’s north gymnasium.
