August 12

Police conducted a welfare check at the request of a relative in the 300 block W. Chester St.

Officers responded to Casey’s for a gas drive-off.

Police took a harassment report from W. Walnut St.

Officers responded to S. Sonya Circle for a suspicious person.

August 13

After taking a report from Mark Klaybor of DuBois, regarding batteries being stolen from NAPA Auto Parts. Following an investigation, Nicholas Kurtz, of Nashville, was arrested and charged with felony theft over $500.

Callie C. Schwartzkopf, 18, of Nashville, and Rebecca J. Isbell, 19, of Nashville, were involved in a traffic crash on St. Rt. 127 near the intersection of Richview Road. Isbell was turning into a driveway on the left side of the road. Schwartzkopf could not stop in time and struck the rear of Isbell’s vehicle.

Police responded to the 100 block of West Lebanon St. for a domestic disturbance.

Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Hoffman St. for a verbal dispute.

August 14

Police took a report for a civil issue in the 900 block S. Mill St.

Officers took a report of a stolen license plate in the 800 block of E. Holzhauer Dr.

Police made contact with a solicitor without a permit and were advised to get a permit before they could solicit again.

August 15

At the request of St. Ann’s, police issued Ministerial Alliance to a subject for fuel.

Police responded to the 500 block of E. Lebanon for a possible break-in.

Police found 5 bicycles by the mill pond that had been taken from Metro-East Recycling. The bicycles were returned to Metro-East Recycling.

Responded to a verbal dispute on E. Railroad St.

August 16

Police took a report of a dog bite from inside a residence on E. David Dr.

Police arrested Molden LeVault for a violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act.

Police arrested John W. Weber IV, 24, of Carbondale, for unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of hypodermic syringe.

August 17

Nashville Police responded to the Little Nashville Parking Lot for a report of damage to a semi trailer. Police spoke with Thomas Pitts, of Maquoketa, Iowa, who advised that he woke up and observed damage to his trailer which was caused by the trailer parked next to his. Police then made contact with Galen Gilbert, of San Antonio, Texaas. Police determined that Gilbert struck the side of Thomas’ trailer with his tire and the side of his trailer; he was unaware of the incident until police notified him of it. A traffic crash report was taken at the scene.

Police took a report of property demand on W. 3rd St. at N. Broadway St.

Officers responded to the 900 block of W. St. Louis St. for a neighbor dispute.

August 18

Police responded to a gas drive-off at Citgo, locating and stopping the vehicle, and speaking to Colin Lackey, of Georgia, who adivsed that he believed he had paid for the gas with a credit card but that it must not have gone through. Lackey returned to Citgo and payed his bill of $68.23.

Police took a report of a hit & run in the 900 block of W. St. Louis St.

Officers took a report of property damage in the 800 block of N. Mill St.
