Fall Festival Book Sale At
Nashville Public Library
The Friends of the Nashville Public Library Fall Festival Book Sale Sept. 19-21. The library is currently accepting donations for the book sale until Tuesday, Sept. 17. Books must be clean and in good condition; no textbooks, encyclopedia sets, or Reader’s Digest Condensed Books will be accepted. These items do not sell and create extra work for volunteer workers.
Please do not leave books outside the library when it is closed. The library’s regular hours are Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and is located at 219 East Elm Street. Call the library at 327-3827 for more information.
The preview sale takes place Thursday, Sept. 19, from 5 – 8 p.m. in the library. There is a $4 admission charge on the night of the preview sale. Members of the Friends of the Library organization, who are lifetime members or have paid their membership dues for 2013, receive free admission on preview nights for book sales. In addition, lifetime members also receive a 10 percent discount on total purchases at the book sales.
There is no charge for the regular book sale on Friday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Washington County Master Gardeners’ Fall Plant Swap will also be taking place in the west parking lot adjacent to the library on Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at 8 a.m.
The book sale offers many great buys on used books, with many books in like-new condition. Included in the sale will be many children’s books, cookbooks, craft books, videos (both VHS and DVDs), audio books, records, and music CDs. Regular hardback books sell for 50 cents or three books for $1. Regular paperback books sell for 25 cents each or five for $1. Items in like-new condition range from 50 cents to $3 and are specially marked.
