Okawville High School Places First In Academic Challenge Competition

The Annual Academic Challenge was held at Kaskaskia College on February 6.  Fifteen district high schools were in competition in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Graphics, English, Math, and Physics. The Okawville Team finished first in the small school competition.

Biology: first place – Russell Rodely
Chemistry: first place – Russell Rodely; third place – Audrey Jansen
Computer Science: tie for second place – Tyler Traub
Engineering Graphics: second place – Logan Thoms; tie for third place – Shawn Rodely
English: second place – Jordan Oakley
Mathematics: first place – Shawn Rodely
Student Russell Rodley received a scholarship for high test scores.
