The Hornets summer baseball team fell to Mascoutah on Tuesday June 20 6-5. Cameron Parker started the game for Nashville. Tanner Bergmann drove in two runs. Bryce Bultman and Kelton Harre each drove in a run in the loss.
The Hornets Summer Baseball team suffered a close loss to Mascoutah this past week, as the Indians defeated Nashville 6-5.
The Hornets got on the board first as Tanner Bergman drove in Kelton Harre for the first run of the game in the first. Bryce Bultman extended Nashville’s lead to 2-0 in the first inning with a RBI single, scoring Cameron Parker.
Mascoutah got one run back in the second as a two out single, cut the deficit to one. Mascoutah would tie the game in the third, on a RBI groundout, but the game would not stay tied for long.
After Carson Parker singled to lead off the bottom of the third inning, Harre drove him in with a long double to right center to give Nashville a 3-2 lead.
Mascoutah took the lead for good in the fourth, as they pushed four runs across the plate to take a 6-3 lead.
The Hornets would rally in the fifth as two runs would score to cut Mascoutah’s lead to 6-5, but Nashville could not complete the comeback as Mascoutah took the win.
