As the 2016-17 school year wound down to a close, the Nashville Hornettes volleyball team handed out team awards for the 2016 season. Six players received awards for their play during the season. The Hornettes finished 14-21 last season, and lost to Althoff in the Regional Semi-Finals. Althoff would go on to finish third in

The Nashville Hornets Bass Fishing team competed at the Conference Tournament at Kinkaid Lake just outside of Murphysboro. Eight teams competed in the tournament with Pinckneyville finishing third, Nashville finishing second, and Murphysboro taking first place.
The Southern Illinois River to River Conference announced their All-Conference team for the Mississippi Division this past week, with a total of seven Hornettes making the team. Three Nashville players made the first team, while four Hornettes made the second team. The Hornettes finished with three players on the SIRR All-Conference First Team, Mississippi Division.
