This Week’s Pets For Adoption
This week’s pet of the week is a one-year-old male Husky. The Partners for pets write that they don’t think that he would be good with cats, and that he needs a big yard or farm to run around in because he has lots of energy. Looking at the photo, he just LOOKS like he has a lot of energy. He also looks like he might like a cat, but that cat probably wouldn’t like him back. The Nashville News staff-suggested name for this happy-looking fellow is Lincoln.
Remember, if you don’t like our staff-suggested names for these dogs and cats, the best thing you can do is adopt the animal, give them a “forever home” and then name them whatever you please! If you do like the name, do the same thing– adopt them and call them that for all the rest of their happy days!
Other dogs available for adoption include an 8-year-old male black lab mix, a one-year-old female chocolate pit bull, a five-year-old female black lab mix, a two-year-old male tri-color mix breed, a two-year-old female blue brindle pit mix, a two-year-old spayed female blue and white pit mix, and two-year-old female yellow lab mix.
There are five cats and two (probably very adorable) kittens available at this time.
Dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an AVID identification chip and $50 off spaying or neutering.
The shelter also accepts donations of aluminum cans to help cover costs.
